Professor Stavros V.Georgakopoulos and EMLab Team bring the research result of wireless power and data transmission for wearable and implantable sensors and devices to eMerge Americas 2016. Emlab attracted a lot of attention in the exhibition。

Current “plugged in” biomedical equipment hampers patient and caregiver mobility and poses safety hazards. Also, batteries do not last. A wireless powered/charged wearable thermometer and pulse oximeter eliminates power cords and supports a new way to take people’s vitals and measure oxygen saturation in the blood. This wireless system, which includes a transmitter and receiver, is mobile, more reliable, comfortable, safer, faster and more sanitary. The technology has multiple applications and can be used for various devices.
